A site visit fee may apply.


The fee may include:


• Travel costs

7. DESIGN, ENGINEERING AND PROJECT PLANNING FEES


For larger projects, SmartHomeTime.com may charge separate fees for:

• Solar system planning

• Load calculations

• Technical reports

• Engineering consultations

• Project specifications


Unless otherwise agreed in writing, these fees are non-refundable.


8. SUBCONTRACTORS AND PARTNER COMPANIES


SmartHomeTime.com reserves the right to assign, subcontract, delegate, or refer any project to approved partner companies or qualified contractors.


Where work is performed by a partner company:


• The partner company shall be fully responsible for the execution of the work.

• The partner company shall maintain all required licences, certifications, and insurance.

• The partner company shall be solely responsible for workmanship, compliance, safety, and legal obligations relating to the project.


SmartHomeTime.com acts as a facilitator, coordinator, marketing platform, or referral service where applicable.


9. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES


The customer agrees to:


• Provide accurate information.

• Provide safe access to the property.

• Ensure utilities are available where required.

• Inform us of any hazards.

• Obtain any permissions required from landlords, management companies, or local authorities.

• Protect personal belongings and valuables.


Failure to meet these obligations may result in delays or additional charges.


10. ACCESS TO PROPERTY


The customer must provide reasonable access to the property at agreed times.


If access cannot be gained upon arrival, a call-out charge may apply.


Additional visits required due to denied access may be chargeable.


11. APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION


Appointments cancelled less than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled time may be subject to cancellation charges.


Where an engineer, electrician, technician, or contractor has already travelled to the property, the minimum call-out fee shall remain payable.


12. CALL-OUT CHARGES


Call-out fees may apply for:


• Emergency services

• Fault finding

• Diagnostic visits

• Urgent appointments

• Out-of-hours services

• Weekend services

• Public holiday services


The applicable charge will be communicated where possible before attendance.


13. PAYMENTS


Payment terms may vary depending on the project.


We may require:


• Full payment in advance

• Deposits

• Stage payments

• Progress payments

• Final payment upon completion


Failure to make payment may result in suspension of services.


14. LATE PAYMENTS


Late payments may incur:


• Interest charges

• Administrative fees

• Debt recovery costs

• Legal costs

15. MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT


Materials supplied remain the property of the supplier until payment has been received in full.


The customer shall not sell, transfer, alter, or remove installed equipment before full payment is made.


16. PROJECT CHANGES


Any variation requested after commencement may result in:


• Additional charges

• Delays

• Revised completion dates


No variation shall be binding unless accepted by both parties.


17. COMPLETION OF WORK


Work shall be deemed complete when:


• The agreed scope has been delivered.

• Installation has been completed.

• Testing has been carried out where applicable.


Minor defects that do not affect functionality shall not prevent completion.


18. WARRANTIES


Any warranty provided shall be specified in writing.


Warranties do not cover:

19. HEALTH AND SAFETY
